Technical Article Programs
Technology-driven companies need to keep their names and products in front of design engineers. One method is to establish a steady flow of technical articles in appropriate publications read by design engineers and/or users of the companies' products. KPR has run technical article programs for the most technical of companies since being founded in 1976. We have even designed incentive programs to encourage engineers to write technical articles. We can direct the program, contact the publications and write the articles in-house if necessary...or we can guide engineers in what to write about, how to write it and help them meet deadlines. We also edit engineer-written articles. We are the easiest way for a company to fill in the gaps in its own internal capabilities.
TESTIMONIAL: "Approximately five years ago we began offering technical writing assistance to employees as an incentive to publish contributed articles in trade journals. David has been largely responsible for our successes in this effort....Viewed as an extended member of our staff, he has demonstrated an easy rapport with virtually everyone he's had to work with. His technical knowledge is both broad and comprehensive. Our engineers tell me his professional approach makes the job of writing an article seem easy."--

Capabilities
KPR's ability to coordinate technical article programs is unique because of the expertise of its president, David Kaye. He has both a BS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in the same discipline from Brooklyn Polytechnic. He was senior editor with Electronic Design Magazine for more than 7 years. Having been an editor, he knows what editors look for and how to approach them. He has also ghostwritten innumerable technical articles and white papers over the years. Recognizing that technology-driven companies needed competent technical representation in the public relations and marketing arenas, he established KPR, Inc. in 1976.
WHAT AN EDITOR SAYS: "I have known Dave for 20 years or more and have worked with him many times on product announcements, technical articles, and news trends and industry overviews. Dave is technically knowledgeable and well-versed in the needs of technical publications. With his previous experience as an Electronic Design Technical Editor, he has rare insight into the criteria by which editors judge potential technical articles. His knowledge of the publication process itself means that the articles that he offers invariable move smoothly through the process for timely publication. Overall, he is an aggressive, effective advocate for his clients with high credibility with the technical press."-- Stephen E. Scrupski, Editorial Director
